If you attach the gadget to your keys, you will use the app on your phone to activate the device ringer. By pressing the button on the gadget, you phone rings on the loudest volume even if it is in silent mode.
How Trackr Bravo Works

uses Bluetooth technology. This doesn’t mean your phone’s Bluetooth needs to be
on all the time. The app utilizes the phone’s Bluetooth so that your phone uses
less power than it would if you kept your Bluetooth on.
Once you buy the device, you only need to install the app. On
the app, you will do the pairing for all the trackers you have. You can rename
each device for easier recognition.
Advantages
- You don’t need to attach the device to your phone.
- Very small – dimensions 1.2 inches wide x 0.2 inches thick (the size of a U.S. quarter)
- Lightweight at 8.5 grams
- Cheap (about $20 on Amazon)
- A battery replacement is available and cheap – less than $3 ($8 for a pack of20 batteries)
- If a lost item is out of Bluetooth range, you'll receive a location update on you app when another TrackR user is within Bluetooth range of the item
Disadvantages
- Does not have GPS or WIFI – its maximum range is about 30 feet
- Your phone consumes slightly more power because you have to keep the app running
- The device can easily choke a kid. It’s also possible for a kid to swallow it
- You have to attach a separate gadget for each item you don’t want to lose. For instance, you need separate devices for your keys, wallet, TV remote, handbag etc
- These tags can’t be used to locate stolen cars or bikes due to the limitation in range
- Like other small devices, the sound is not too loud
